Today I was thrilled to receive an email from a fashion editor on a glossy magazine following one of my press releases for a jewellery client.
I emailed the press release out two days prior to that so a pretty good turnaround. Sometimes you can receive an instant reply - other times I have had to rely on follow up phone calls. I've even had a reply six months after sending out a press release. Quite simply, getting your press release noticed can sometimes simply be down to timing. That's why it's crucial to keep sending those releases out consistently. Persistence really does pay off.
The fashion journalist who got in touch is after some of my client's gorgeous statement jewellery to use on a shoot. Whoo hoo!! That's just the kind of thing we love - building relationships and getting your product under the nose of the right contact. Of course this doesn't definitely mean the jewellery will be used in the magazine - but it's a pretty good start. I'll keep you posted.
